Roy G Biv

Roy G Biv

I remember being taught this little memory tool to help recall the colors of the rainbow in order.  We were taught that there was a spectrum to light. The color white is the collection of all the colors and the color black is the absence of all the colors. In between these two framing colors is the spectrum of Roy G Biv (Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet).

Just as light is filtered to display a certain color, life is filtered to display a certain attitude. When we grumble, we are filtering out God’s sovereignty and the world looks dark and black.  When we express gratitude, we allow more light into our life and the world is a much brighter white. Just like the color spectrum, we have choices about what shade we will shine. Have a Bright White Day!

Blessings,
