MissionSafe: Our Story

In 1995 World Insurance Association began serving schools and other clients traveling domestically and overseas under the name Serving Abroad.  The company's primary goal was to provide clients the best protection for the best price.  In 2005, Bill Pope and World Insurance expanded to offer a more comprehensive range of coverage and rebranded as MissionSafe.

With 24 years of experience insuring the group travel industry, Bill recognized international travel was evolving and coverage needs were growing to include the sending organizations who are as much at risk as their travelers.  There was also a gap between the coverage needed and the existing plans available to organizations.  And that is where MissionSafe stepped in and began to fill those needs and that gap.  Our heart is to come alongside our customers and enable them to fulfill their purpose by protecting both the organization and its travelers as they move about the globe.

And now, we’re leveraging our expertise and strong carrier relationships to offer incredibly affordable travel insurance coverage to individuals and families, as well as groups.
