Equipping the Next Generation:  Kati’s Leave Your Mark Story

Purpose-driven travel doesn’t always mean heading overseas. Sometimes it starts right in your own community and ripples out across the world.

Through her work with Global Frontier Missions, 2024 Leave Your Mark Winner Kati mentors, teaches, and equips others to thrive in cross-cultural environments.  Through Global Frontier Missions’ training school, Kati mentors, disciples, and equips students to thrive in cross-cultural ministry. She is doing more than living out her own call and passion - she is actively helping others live theirs.

In a town known as the most diverse square mile in America, Kati lives alongside people from dozens of countries and backgrounds. Refugees from Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, and beyond live there, bringing with them cultures, languages, and faith traditions that represent some of the least-reached people groups in the world. For Kati, service isn’t just a trip here and there.  It’s a way of life, woven into every day she spends in her community.

“Every day looks different — teaching English, tutoring kids, hosting women’s groups, or simply showing up with hospitality. I’ve even had the honor of attending sixteen births since moving here.”

Kati’s story reminds us that the most powerful work often happens not in big moments, but in the consistent way we live out our purpose.

Equipping People for the Journey Ahead

Equipping others isn’t just about skills and knowledge. It’s also about preparing for the unexpected.
