Dana Massey
Savanna doesn't just go - she mobilizes others to step boldly into service. Across disaster zones and city streets, through women's gatherings and homeless outreach, her calling with Adventures in Missions has become a movement of hands-on discipleship, practical compassion, and hope where people need it most.
This year, her story rose to the top of the Leave Your Mark Grant - not because of a single project, but because of the ripple effect she creates. Every team she trains, every trip she coordinates, and every community she partners with multiplies impact far beyond her own hands.
Who She Is and What She Does
Savanna serves as a mission coordinator, connecting hundreds of people with ministries across New England and the Carolinas. Her work blends logistics, discipleship, and long-term partnership, and helps prepare teams to serve faithfully, humbly, and sustainably.
At the heart of it all is her simple vision:
"Help more people follow the tug God has placed in their hearts."
2025 Missions: Manchester, Black Mountain, and Central Maine
Manchester, New Hampshire: This is home base for Savanna. She connects mission teams with ministries such as 1269 Cafe, Harmony Home, Hope City Church, and Roca Kidz Club. All of these organizations serve children, families, and those experiencing homelessness.
Black Mountain, North Carolina: After Hurricane Helene, Savanna helped coordinate more than 100 teams (over 2,000 volunteers) to rebuild homes and restore devasted communities.
Central Maine: In Maine, she partners with women's shelters, churches, and community ministries to host women's events, support widows, and help local partners strengthen their impact.
Across each location, her approach is the same: serve faithfully, build relationships, and equip teams to meet real needs.
Why She Serves
For Savanna, missions is about transformation - one life, one home, one team at a time. She lights up when she talks about seeing people discover their calling, watching communities rise from crisis, and helping others experience Jesus in forgotten spaces. And, she says winning a Leave Your Mark Grant came at just the right moment.
"It felt like God was saying, you're in the right place; I've got your back."
The Leave Your Mark grant will help support her ongoing work in Manchester, her disaster relief commitments, and her expansion into places like Central Maine.
