Atlanta, GA (October 2020) – The Leave Your Mark essay contest, co-sponsored by International Medical Group (IMG) and MissionSafe, is held annually at the end of the summer, awarding two-$5,000 and one-$500 prizes.
This year, ministries were asked to answer the following questions: “How is your organization working to overcome the current obstacles impacting the world? If your organization were to win, how would this award support your continued global outreach efforts?”
The two $5,000 prize winners are Made in the Streets and Filter of Hope.
The $500 prize winner is Led2Serve.
MissionSafe President, Bill Pope, was ecstatic to contact Made in the Streets and Led2Serve, two of the three winners who submitted entries through MissionSafe.
“We are so excited to be able to provide these grants to ministries that clearly demonstrated a heart to share the love of Christ through hands-on service. We are grateful for the over 45 entries and look forward to offering this opportunity again next year.”
Made in the Streets brings sustainable living to children residing in the streets of Kenya through loving relationships, vocational training, and education. Their mission is to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of each child, loving them fully and equipping them with the tools to earn a living and create a new life. The $5,000 prize will allow them to provide meals for 1,000 children fighting to survive on the streets. “A plate of food is more than a meal; it is an invitation to hope. Even in the midst of a pandemic, one meal can change a story of survival into one of new and thriving life.”
